Why Do I...

... still pay tax on tampons?!

This really isn't fair. It's not like we ask to have a period, in fact, being as I'm still a teenager, the government doesn't want me to have a child and therefore not have a period for nine months. So why charge me tax on my tampons, Mr Almighty Chancellor?

National interests come first, that's why.

Men get free condoms so that women hafta buy tampons so that the government can serve (some) people better.

We don't pay tax on food because it's a necessity... I pay tax on tampons... because they're not a necessity?

Would the government like all us women to go to work and bleed on the chairs in the meeting rooms? I don't think so. It'd cost an awful lot in replacement office attire.

Oooh, I get it. We're not meant to work, we're supposed to stay at home and look after our oh-so-overworked husbands.

*rolls her eyes*
