Have you ever noticed that there is only one accent in Russia?

I've never been to Russia, but I used to learn Russian in one of my shcools, and he was from the country, as well as a few people in my school that were from there. They all spoke the same way.

Also, if you see a film where the terrorists are Russian, you'll notice that they all have a singular Russian accent.

Now, if you compare that to any other country, even one so small as England, that's really weird. Every region has a different accent here, just like every state in America has a different accent, and there is a definitive difference between the North and the South.

Russian is HUGE. Why do they only have one accent?!

The terrorists aren't poor, they always have stupid amounts of money stashed away, or have it transferred to their account.

The terrorists could probably afford my accent if they wanted it, but they stick to their rubbishy one...

:(.

i think that russian have only a accent because in origine they come from the same centralized and closed state, so they havent't developed different accents. Nowdays Russia is more and more open to other country so it meets a great influence that will probably introduce new accents.

Maybe -- but it's still weird, I mean, Britain had/has loads of different accents and none of us migrated or anything. And we still had immigrants...

Hopefully there will be more accents, though :D.
